The DA stands to say Gigaba, who was recently moved from Minister of finance back to Home Affairs, must be axed.
This happened after the Constitutional Court refused to hear findings against him.
John Steenhuisen, the DA's Chief Whip said the court refused to hear Gigaba's appeal and lay judgement. It had been found that he lied under oath when he testified during his former tenure as Home Affairs minister.
Apparently, Fireblade Aviation, controlled by the Oppenheimer family, had sought declaration to compel Gigaba to follow through the decision he had taken to allow the company to run a customs and immigration service at a privately owned airport operation,
At that time, it was believed that Gigaba had revoked a previously made approval, following the pressure put on him by the Gupta family.
"He is not above lying on oath nor laying the groundwork for the Guptas to capture key public institutions for their own selfish gain", said Steenhuisen.
The DA has lodged a complaint with the public protector, asking of her to investigate Gigaba for lying under oath and for disrespecting the constitution, as this is a crime so big it may be considered a violation.
Answers to the question of whether or not Gigaba must be removed as a matter of urgency are believed to lie with the recently elected president, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Personally, I think this has become a country of taking orders from other people, all the people in political power do not appear to be sure about where they stand with this country.
The Gupta family has become the leading body, and our ministers the followers.
With political parties, most are too busy pointing out the wrongs of the people in other parties that they forget to look around and see what the nation really needs. What has become of our leaders, who are we to follow, really?
They all want to appear as good as possible such that they are busy looking at what others do bad rather that doing what is good for their country.
